This is a most beautiful majolica plate and a most beautiful lady. 7 5/8" diameter. There are some rough to the touch in several places on the high spots including on her nose and mouth, but they do not detract, in my opinion. There is some crazing in the central portion where the cameo is. There is only the number 242 on the back of the plate. I believe it is a 19 C piece. There are 3 stilt marks from the kiln. There is some wear on the base where it sits on the surface. It will make a FABULOUS display piece.
