SOMETHING OLD thinks you will be pleased if you are the new owner of this beautiful Royal Delft plate. De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles is the last remaining Delftware factory from the 17th C still producing Delftware made entirely by hand. The factory was given a Royal warrant in 1919 because of its importance. This 9" plate features the Pijnacker technique using red, blue, and gold primarily, imitating Japanese Imari porcelain. There are holes in the correct position to hang the piece with a wire. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. It is marked on the back with the distinctive "little bottle" as shown in the attached photo. The date mark is for 1957.
The retail price for this piece on the Royal Delft site is 341 Euros---$440+.
