This is a fabulous sterling coaster made by S. Kirk & Son Inc., marked 925/1000, 24. It is in the "Repousse" pattern and measures 4 1/4" in diameter. It is a shame that the glass part is broken and needs to be replaced. (The silver is in excellent condition.) Thus the low starting price. This piece in first class condition sells for $125+.
