If you entertain with brunches or breakfasts, this lovely set is for you. I believe the spoons were made for serving jams and jellies, and the mother of pearl handled spreader was for the butter. The spreader would serve just as well for cheese or pate. The spoons would serve just as well for sugar or condiments.
The leather case is fitted with velvet for the serving pieces. (You can see this in the photo.) The top of the lid is red satin.
The pattern of the spoons is identical, but one's touchmark says "VINER & CO EPNS and underneath that SHEFFIELD SUPER". The other spoon is marked "SSP&C CO. LTD and EPNS" in a shield. The spreader is marked "EPNS" on the blade only.
