This listing is for a wonderful Japanese majolica vase. The body is a basketweave with a ring of blue flowers and green leaves encircling the top. It has a fine crackled glaze on the inside and out. It is incised on the bottom, as shown, MADE IN JAPAN. This dates post 1914. The size is good. It is 6 1/2" tall and has a circumference of 20" around the ginger jar shaped piece. It is in excellent vintage condition. There are some flaws inherent with the firing, such as a spot of the blue flower glaze in the basketweave and a hole fired out of one of the leaves. It is a beauty!
