Art pottery wine goblet--5 3/4" tall. The lower portion of the goblet is striated. The terra cotta part of the vase is unglazed. The cobalt exterior and interior are glazed. 9 1/2" circumference. Grape cluster, leaves and vines in high relief. Excellent condition. Signed on base R Crawford 97 USA. There are 4 goblets available. ONE has a couple of flakes that can only be seen when the goblet is turned upside down.
I found a wonderful group of pottery items recently---a vase, wine bucket and four goblets. Each has a raised pattern of grape leaves and grape clusters. Each piece is signed, R. Crawford USA. The vase and wine bucket are incised 98. The goblets are incised 97. I am assuming that the numbers are year numbers for 1997 and 1998.
The pieces are terra cotta and cobalt blue.
