I am offering this set of early twentieth century Cluny lace round placemats. The closeup will show "the characteristic design of radiating wheatears and plaited border", as described in The Identification of Lace by Pat Earnshaw. The lace is made of ecru linen thread and is in wonderful vintage condition. There are some small areas of age spots on a few of the placemats, but they are perfectly presentable and usable as they are, in my opinion. The pieces are approximately 11" in diameter. The price I am asking is less than you pay for a nice set of plain, cotton placemats. I have a matching 24" centerpiece that I will be listing, as well. Take a look at it, too. These fine pieces are for the collector.
